My ownThoughts
on the 1st Anniversary
of 9 11
September 11, 2002
Was it real
Those images....smoke
and dust...
How could it have happened
here
Would our wounds ever
heal
Does it seem strange
that we still feel
One Year Later
We're still angry, we
wonder
Can remembering go on
to long
Can we keep our faith
& stay strong
We still feel shock &
face our fears
We are a Nation resolved
to
fight our foes and stand
tall
Our pride we wear, we
shed the tears
I won't ever forget, that
fateful day
For the souls lost, and
the survivors too
And for those whose lives
were changed some way.
God has shed his Grace
on Thee and Me
America - truly the land
of the
Brave, the Remarkable,
and the Free.
It all is real.

NFL helping children cope
with Sept. 11
(Sept. 10, 2004) -- This
weekend, households across
the country will turn
on their TV sets and welcome the
return of NFL football
as the league kicks off its
2004 season. But NFL
fans and their families can now
bring the NFL into their
homes in a different way
through a free kids program
to help parents and kids
talk about the events
of September 11th and cultural
understanding. The free,
web-based One World materials
can be downloaded on
the One World web site
http://teacher.scholastic.com/scholasticnews/indepth/one_world/index.asp
or by logging on
to the NFL's new community site.
http://www.jointheteam.com/
These free, web-based
materials include a 32-page
reading and writing journal
that can be used in the
home by parents and children;
a teaching guide for
classroom instruction;
and an interactive game with
role-playing scenarios.

MUSICAL TRIBUTES
/ SONGS
September 18,
2003
As the second
anniversary of the 911 tragedy has just passed,
In the aftermath
of the attacks Doug & Pam Champagne wrote and
recorded a
song "The Legacy"
as a memorial
to all who perished on that horrific day.
The song's
sole purpose is to touch the hearts of as many people as possible
and have them
stop and remember all those that lost there lives.
The decision
was made from the beginning that "The Legacy" would
not be used
for monetary gain by any individual , therefore
"The Legacy"
is only available via the internet as a free download.
