The Library Of Virginia
Patron Code of Conduct 
The Library of Virginia is a research library serving Virginia state agencies, 
government officials, and the general public. All visitors are asked to respect the
Library’s educational mission and required to behave appropriately while on the premises. 
This is particularly important in the Reading Rooms and Circulation area on the second floor, 
where patrons expect an atmosphere conducive to reading, research, and study. 
To ensure that all patrons and visitors are able to use the Library’s resources and 
services effectively, the Library of Virginia requires all visitors to comply
